Donna McGee

Donna lives in south county Dublin with her husband and four daughters. Prior to becoming a full time artist, her formal training was in international banking and finance but her passion to paint shone through in the end. Primarily self taught, she has developed a style encompassing a diverse range of inspirations and influences.

Her creative source can be found in the elemental forces that shape the landscape. The rugged coastlines, the restless skies throughout Ireland, the elemental forces that shape the landscape cast a spiritual energy. She attempts to reflect and celebrate this timeless beauty in her work.

She is a regular contributor at the People’s Art, St. Stephens Green , the IFSC Dublin Dockland Festivals, Merrion Square and various other locations. She has also exhibited in many group exhibitions, including Kennedy’s Gallery, Powerscourt Townhouse Gallery, among others. Her first solo exhibition was held in the offices of the EU Commission in Meath. She is a founder member of the Knocklyon Art Group. The group was established by a small group of art enthusiasts as a vehicle to promote and develop art in the local community.

Her preferred medium is oils!
